NEW QUATRO Wood CT Evo


 Vandersteen Audio has announced the Quatro Wood CT Evo, a significant advancement in ease-of-use based on the Quatro technology, while maintaining the same level of performance as the Quatro Wood CT.  This model integrates technologies from Vandersteen's flagship speakers, offering exceptional audio performance in a refined and compact form, and represents an easy-to-install upgrade from the Treo, Quatro Cloth, or Quatro Wood.

Key Features:

Easily connected with bi-wire from any amplifier of adequate power.  Although it features a built-in powered subwoofer, no external crossover is required.

Carbon Tweeter Technology: The Quatro Wood CT incorporates the Carbon Tweeter from the esteemed Model 5A Carbon, delivering high-frequency purity and resolution.

Advanced Midrange Driver: Equipped with a patented 4.5" Reflection-Free midrange driver, it minimizes rearward energy reflections, enhancing clarity and reducing distortion.

Mid-woofer

6.5” Woven-Fiber Cone and Precision-Formed Magnet Assembly with a Copper Faraday Ring 

Powered Subwoofer Section: Each speaker includes dual 8" side-firing CounterForceTM subwoofers powered by custom amplifiers, complemented by an 11-band EQ for precise in-room performance optimization.

Time- and Phase-Correct Design: Consistent with Vandersteen's design philosophy, the Quatro Wood CT Evo maintains time and phase alignment for accurate sound reproduction.

Craftsmanship: Handcrafted in the USA, the speakers feature high-quality wood finishes, ensuring each pair is both visually and sonically exceptional.

The Quatro CT Evo offers a wide frequency response, powered adjustable bass, and ease of implementation in a relatively compact, phase and time-correct design.  It will ship late summer 2025.

    Quatro Wood CT Evo

    Normally with many speakers there is a compromise with room placement. Closer to the rear wall improves the bass but negatively impacts imaging. Further into the room improves imaging but negatively effects the bass response. Here you can bring the Evos further into the room for all that imaging goodness but still have stellar bass response. As a result, on live recordings, one hears more of the space where the event occurred, bringing the venue into your room.
