Review: Vandersteen Quatro Wood CT Evo Loudspeakers

When I hear reviewers talk about increased detail, I normally think that the speaker sounds brighter. Not here. The criticism I most hear from folks about Vandersteens is that they think the top end is rolled off or the speaker is too warm. The warmer sound I am used to is replaced in the Evos by with a more neutral tone, a more natural sound, with greatly increased detail but without brightness. The top end is extended and open. You can hear it with a drum kit, the sound of a high hat or ride cymbal, which sounds eerily real, with the same natural decay you hear in a jazz club.  To read the full article click here
